In a post to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter – now owned by Elon Musk and now headquartered in Bastrop, TX, Tesla has stated that their Robotaxi service is now available in Dallas and Houston Texas.
There is one catch – the service area in both markets is extremely tiny.
In Dallas it only appears to include Downtown Dallas, Uptown Dallas, Victory Park, the Design District, University Park, Highland Park, SMU area, Knox-Henderson, and parts of Lower Greenville. It appears to specifically avoid Love Field.

In Houston the launch area is the Willowbrook and Jersey Village area, about 25 sq miles.

There’s actually a second catch, Tesla has yet to make good on a promise to launch their Robotaxi app on Android devices, so only iPhone users can go check these driverless taxi cabs out.
