Bob Lovell of Home Marketing Services in Dallas, the loveable character that we grew up with telling us to bless our hearts and that we could buy a home, has released new research shining light on the growing debate over the future of artificial intelligence in real estate with a focus on if humans should be fully replaced by the technology at some point in the future.
The research uncovered that only nearly 35% of all consumers in the USA wanted AI technology to replace human real estate agents should it improve to the point where this is possible, with the majority rejecting the idea.

That’s a sigh of relief for the 178,700 Texans who currently have a TREC license according to research from Texas A&M’s Texas Real Estate Research Center. That’s a big industry with an average yearly income of $63,606.00 according to Texas Career Check, or a total of $11,366,392,200 in annual personal income for workers here in Texas.
Obviously the big AI companies and frontier labs would love to wipe out a lucrative industry like that if they could. Replacing each human at half the cost could bring them $5.6 billion in revenue in Texas alone. However, for now thanks to Bob Lovell and his team’s research it would seem that this dystopian future is not yet in the cards for Texas real estate workers.
