Sika Corporation will invest more than $90 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Sealy, Texas, a project expected to create 60 new jobs in Austin County.
The expansion has been approved as a qualified project under the state’s Texas Jobs, Energy, Technology, and Innovation (JETI) program. As part of the incentive package, Sika will receive a $519,000 Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant and a $7,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus.
Expansion Overview
The project will boost Sika’s production of PVC single-ply commercial roofing membranes, bringing the company closer to key metropolitan markets in the western and southern U.S. This investment meets growing demand and strengthens the company’s U.S. supply chain.
Governor Greg Abbott stated the expansion highlights Texas’s leadership in manufacturing and supply chain growth, emphasizing the state’s cost advantages and market access.
Sika Corporation USA President and CEO Jim Walther described the investment as a strategic move to reinforce the company’s global leadership in commercial roofing and expand delivery of sustainable construction solutions.
