The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) launched the Child Care Business Support initiative to help child care providers across Texas improve their operations.
The program is designed to give licensed and registered child care providers access to expert coaching and training to address common operational challenges while maintaining high-quality care for Texas families.
What the Initiative Includes
The initiative provides two key support types:
Business Coaching
- Guidance on financial management
- Marketing strategies
- Staff supervision and operational improvement
Business Training
- Financial planning
- Risk management
- Parent communication strategies
- Workforce and employee retention resources
TWC officials noted the initiative acknowledges child care businesses’ vital role in supporting working families and sustaining Texas’s economy.
TWC Chairman Joe Esparza stated the program reflects the agency’s commitment to helping providers manage business needs and maintain quality care. Commissioners Alberto Treviño III and Brent Connett highlighted that strengthening child care businesses directly invests in Texas’s workforce and long-term economic growth.
The initiative is available to all licensed or registered child care programs in Texas.
