$1.8M Retail Plaza Project Advances West of San Antonio
A new retail center in Castroville, roughly 26 miles west of San Antonio, is nearly finished, with some tenants planning to open as soon as April.
Town East Crossing is located at 1762 U.S. Highway 90 East. Construction started in October 2024, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) records. Foresite Commercial Real Estate is marketing the project, and Open Studio Architecture is handling the design.
The building facing Highway 90 is finished, and all utilities are in place. Confirmed tenants include:
- Quality Urgent Care (expected to open April or May)
- Imagine Dental (targeted for July opening)
- Mi Casa Child Center (planning to open in August)
One end-cap space with a drive-thru is still open. Developers are hoping to attract nail salons, medical offices, or restaurants for this spot.
The estimated development investment totals approximately $1.8 million, according to TDLR filings.
Developers are positive about the area’s growth. Castroville has seen steady population increases, helped by jobs at a nearby Microsoft data center and rising demand for Hill Country homes. Almost 5,000 people live within three miles of the site, and over 38,000 vehicles drive past it every day.
